ALTEC LANSING MODEL 19 SPEAKER FOAM INSERTS/SUROUNDS reproduction 1 Pair / Set

ALTEC MODEL 19 FOAM HORN SURROUNDS ONE PAIR / SET OF TWO IN BLACK.
These are hard to photograph due to them being Black. They look better up close and in person then in the pictures.

If you own a set of these speakers or purchased a set from someone and do not have these inserts then you have an incomplete speaker. As all model 19's came with these inserts/surrounds new. I purchased my pair NEW in 1978 and still had part of an original foam surround/insert  left up until recently. As they just dissolve away over time.
They are coated just like the originals. The Black coating even makes them have the original feel or crusty surface texture. Just like I remember them having when mine were NEW.
If you've priced high quality dense foam you know it is rather pricey !
I'm offering a set or pair for sale to anybody that has a set of these speakers & doesn't have them for the horn section of the speaker. If you see most of these speakers that are selling on eBay, non of them have these inserts in them & some are asking thousands of dollars for incomplete speakers. There's a reason Altec put these around the horns so maybe you should to. I can't help but think that Altec added these to the horn section to cut down on any RESONANT frequencies, as well as just looking better with them.
Since they are hand made they will & do have some minor imperfections. No two of them are exactly alike ! although I do try to get them to be.  If this is a problem do not purchase them.

You are mainly paying for the time / labor it takes to make them. As well as the cost of the foam, glue and coating material.
If you have a set of these speakers don't miss out !   These only fit model 19 Altec speakers. All of them fit as they should to my original unmolested speakers I purchased new as you see pictured.
Made of heavy 45lb. compression high quality Polyurethane dense foam.
I'm using foam, approved flexible  glue that I have tested. The foam tense to tare and pull apart before the glued area will. So I know it will work fine for this application.

I will be shipping these out in a small box due to shipping cost. So these will be compressed down in that box. You will have to set them out for some time (A day or two) to regain their shape which is what I had to do when I received the foam to make these with.  "DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE BOX ANY LONGER THEN YOU HAVE TO, AFTER YOU RECEIVE THEM " I'm sure they will be just fine even if you do ! If I shipped these in a full size box, the shipping cost would be two & a half times more expensive. I'VE TRIED ! (So don't ask me too). I WILL NOT !

You are buying two inserts / one pair for the money. That will work for two speakers.
