Description
Offered for your consideration is a ruby stained cream pitcher and sugar bowl with gold trim made by the Tarentum Glass Company (1894-1918) in their number 1906 "Peerless" pattern. Also known as "Frost Crystal", this pattern was introduced in 1906.The creamer measures 4.75 inches (12.1 cm) tall, 3.75 inches (9.5 cm) wide, and 5.5 inches (14 cm) from end of spout to outer edge of handle.
The sugar bowl measures 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) tall and 4.25 inches (10.8 cm) in diameter.
This set is being sold as is. The creamer has a large chip on base but has no cracks, deep scratches, additional roughness, nor repairs. The ruby stain is deep and rich but the gold trim is weak and missing in places along scalloped rim. The sugar bowl is missing its lid but otherwise is in very good used condition with no cracks, chips, deep scratches, roughness, nor repairs. The glass of both items is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, shear (straw) marks, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
Cream pitcher and sugar bowl will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping.
