Silent film funnyman Buster Keaton made the transition to talking pictures in 1930 with
Free and Easy
, and soon followed with this film, in which Keaton plays a wealthy scion who accidentally signs up for duty during World War I. Based partly on Keaton's own stint in France during the Great War, and filled with iconic scenes of him marching to the beat of his own drum, this is one of Keaton's best films for MGM. Popular leading lady Sally Eilers co-stars as his love interest, who can be seen posing next to him on this excellent glass slide. The slide displays a few faint smudges and minor surface scratches.
