I purchased these speakers from the original owner and avid Pioneer collector among other great Pioneer pieces.  He was meticulous in his care, even going as far as putting them back in the box when not in use.  The speakers are truly close to mint, with the only flaw being a tiny bit of veneer peeling back on one corner but otherwise they are flawless.  After sitting in the boxes for years they had to be re-foamed which I did at an authorized Pioneer service center.  This pair is extremely low use and I'd have to say as close as you're going to find to a "new" pair these days.  A beautiful example from Pioneer's golden era.
