First time used with cup of Nongshim black premium noodles, added little extra water. Clocked the highest temp around 205 degree F. Which is the 600 watt setting I believe. Ramen in a cup in a microwave takes 3 minutes plus cool down and soak 1 minute. Microwave is 1200 watts. This little cooker took slightly longer but the water didn’t boil over all over the microwave like the cup of noodles usually does. Plus I can stir the noodles and test how well they are cooked before turning it off. Way better control than microwave, where you have to wait and see it boil over and loose half of the ingredients and not to mention the messy clean up inside microwave. Besides microwave is not healthy when it nukes your enzymes in the food. I guess one could add the packets after, haven’t tried that yet. Stay tuned for more ramen noodle adventures with Topwit. Just kidding. It’s all fun. And yummy. Next up is Steel cut oat meals, crossing my fingers. 😀
This is my first review of any product, and it's a product that's ideal for my tastes with its sleek design as well. The only downside is that it has a short cord so you need an extender, and it can bubble over if you have it at the maximum temperature, but other than that I have no complaints. I've wanted to find a good 'giant' mug to use because I don't enjoy doing dishes and having a handle makes things a bit more convenient. But this device makes me not have to worry about cleaning any dishes because I could use it as a bowl anyways.
This is an efficient, sleek, easy to clean hot pot. You can create soups in it from scratch, heat up anything you'd normally put in a pot, and I like to cook soup with homemade dumplings. Downfall is it only has two settings. Lowest setting leaves soup burned on the bottom if you don't constantly check and stir. If I was to buy a new hot pot I would look for one with a dial setting instead of just medium and high.
