    Description

    For sale here is a high fidelity speaker system sold by Jame B Lansing co back in the day. Kit is 002 Signature series sold to home enthusiasts and cabinet makers. Kit has D123 speaker SN 517  Tweeter 075 SN 6556  and  crossover network N2500 SN 6386 .  All very low serial numbers. Kit was probably sold around 1957 or 1958 back before stereo really took off so only one speaker. system sounds great and crossover seems to be working with the pot on front of speaker board. Probably needs a good cleaning with deoxit due to the age. May need to be recapped but seems to sound very good as is. Cab is homemade and very sturdy with dense particle board. Great for shipping. Previous owner had it upholstered with naugahyde which I had to pretty much destroy as you could not access the speakers the way it was stapled on. Interesting piece of audiophile history from the old days. If no one wants it as is I will probably sell the individual components in another sale. Very heavy. Thanks.
